MDF Mosaic Bases...the Beginning!

Just about any surface can be used as a base for mosaic tiles. Walls, floors, glass bottles, lazy susans, trays and much more.
These types of substrates can often be found at garage sales, thrift stores and even your own garage!
If you are looking for original designs to use for your mosaic creations I have many MDF shapes available for your mosaic projects.
Why use MDF? MDF stands for "medium density fiberboard" and is a composite wood product that is stronger than ordinary wood, will not split or warp and has a very smooth surface and can be finished in many ways. Some examples are: mosaic, collage, paint, stencils, polymer tiles, beads, bottles and anything else that can be glued and attached to the surface.
I also offer custom orders. If you need a 25" diameter peace sign I can make it for you! Send your own ideas and see them come to life!
Each MDF base arrives fully sanded on the edges and has a sturdy hanger attached to the back. All you have to do is unpack your base, seal it with 5 parts water to 1 part wood glue (Weldbond will do) and start creating!
MDF is an excellent value for the money and you will never have to worry about your wonderful mosaic being ruined because the base mildewed, rotted or split.
If you don't see what you want, contact me! I'll work with you to create the perfect mosaic base to suit your needs :)
